Our pilgrims are on an overnight so I haven't gotten much from them today, hence my reliance on Wikipedia! Plus I get sucked into the information I find there. So if you are not interested, it's OK to just look at the pictures :)
Capernaum is a small fishing village on the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee. There are these cool ruins where families supposedly lived. The stones form a human sized maze now and you can just picture everyday life in the time of Jesus taking place there. There is also a beautiful, contemporary church on the site. It is thought that St. Peter lived here.
