From what I hear, it's a blessing that Behold the Man is one of the first travel groups to go to Israel in some time. The Covid testing was a hassle but now they seem to have all the holy sites to themselves! How cool is that?!
Still yesterday:
Apparently Jesus was actually born in a cave rather than the popular thought of being born in a stable. It would have been much like this cave, while being surrounded by cows and other animals.
The small door at the far end is actually the entrance
to the basilica. It was made small intentionally so people
wouldn't ride their horses into the church.
