This morning I rose at 5 and like Peter and John of old ran/walked down to the tomb. Old Jerusalem at 5:30 looks and feels very different than it does at 9 or 10 am. When I arrived at the church there were very few people in there. I headed straight to the tomb. Normally there is a long line but at 5:40 there was only one man waiting behind the gate. There was a service in session but when it was over some Episcopalians went in to do a service and I and six others were in the ante chamber and could hear the the service. Once it was over I was able to enter the actual tomb area. This picture is the area over which Jesus was laid. As you can see there is no one there--he has risen!
