Well the group arrived early this morning to Tel Aviv and took the "shuttle" to Jerusalem. The exciting thing about the teeny group photo is that the guys are standing in front of the wall surrounding the old city in Jerusalem! Here is a quick note from Fr. Lance and Jeff: Hi Beautiful Wives, We made it here and Sarasota time it is now 6:05 am. We just ate lunch here at the college (local time is 1:06). The trip to Newark was fine, but the trip from Newark was pretty bad. There were probably 40 to 50 little kids with very young parents Hassidic (sp?) Jews. The parents seemed to age from 19 through 24 and each couple seemed to have 2 or 3 or more children. The men were up all night - off and on praying; the women were up walking the babies. I, Lance, had a baby in the row in front of me, one beside me, and one in back. They each seemed to have it pretty well timed to when one was up and crying the other two were resting up to when that one tired out. I didn't get any rest on the way here and right now I am pretty tired. I, Jeff, thought it was culturally interesting. I spoke with several of the young college Jewish men (single) as I stood in the back trying to relieve my back pain. I was disappointed on how the young families left their areas totally trashed. We are going to go on a walk into Jerusalem in a couple of minutes-actually we need to walk otherwise we will fall asleep. But all said, WE ARE HERE IN JERUSALEM!! Love to you both Lance and Jeff
