This is one of those amazing places where you just have to picture Jesus walking - WOW!!
So, the ruins that were discovered are in the foreground, where Peter was supposed to have lived and this amazing (and quite contemporary) church was built next to the site - which you see in the background.
Don't be alarmed, the guys DID NOT pick up this woman!! I got this off the internet to show you what they sell as "St. Peter's Fish" in a seaside restaurant. Remember the feeding of the five thousand? Well, it was two of these that did the job - the common cry in the crowd must have been: "Watch out for the bones!!"
And this is the oh-so-peaceful Sea of Galilee - no wonder miraculous things happened here. Our pilgrims are staying the weekend in a lovely guest house on the Sea.
