Sunday update. ~Chris Wood

Hey everyone! It is good to be back at Saint George's College. We went to Mount Tabor today. Mount Tabor is where people believe the Transfiguration of Jesus took place. It was a short trip from the Sea of Galilee. The trip up the mountain was intense! We had to get off the bus because the road had so many curves. If you get carsick easily it would have been rough. Especially the way the driver was taking the hairpin turns. Yikes.
On top of the mountain was a beautiful church. We Celebrated the Holy Eucharist in the Moses Chapel. Then spent some time exploring the rest of the Church. The Church was very nice - it was definitely a "mountain top" experience! There were ruins attached to the church. They were neat but not as neat as Capernaum.

From there we went to Jericho. Jericho was neat. We did some shopping and then came back to Saint George's. Tonight we will hear from a Palestinian priest who will tell us about the peace process from the Palestinian point of view. I am looking forward to it!
